The Noida Authority is currently working on constructing a district hospital in Sector 39 of Gautam Budh Nagar. According to officials, the building commenced construction in May, 2014 and will finish by next year in May.
The design plan of the establishment shows that there will be one main building of the hospital along with two separate towers for the residential doctors. The hospital will have eight floors and it’s basement will have three separate floors.
The Deputy CEO of Noida Authority, Mr. Saumya Srivastava says,“The hospital is planned to have 200 beds, 35 consultation rooms and around 30 wards- with 20 of them reserved as general wards and the rest divided into private and semi-private patient quarters.Both the residential towers are planned to be eighteen-storey high. They will comprise of seventy-two 3BHK flats altogether- each flat measuring to 1754 sq. feet approximately.
A total plot area of 14732 sq meters has been allotted for the construction of the hospital and residential towers. Officials reveal that a budget of Rs. 225 crores has been assigned for the construction of the entire compound. “A hospital in the district will assure the healthy well-being of the citizens and will also assist with medical aid to the people of the area. We plan to make the compound as safe as possible, and hence are working on the emergency exits, evacuation plans and other measures to deal with disasters and emergencies,” stated Mr. Rama Raman, CEO of Noida Authority.
