NEW DELHI: Pulling up the authorities for dilly dallying in solving the water logging problem in the city, the Delhi HC, on Wednesday, wondered why the main drain taking the water to Yamuna river can’t be widened. “The public authorities have given no importance to the issue when the monsoon is at its peak… we want to see results, not what you say on paper,” a bench said. As a first step, the judges suggested MCD, DJB and PWD to consider if the drains can be widened since de-silting isn’t working. The bench told the agencies to examine suggestions on water logging submitted by the petitioner in the case.
