CommonFloor and RERA Karnataka come together to organize sessions on RERA across Karnataka for the builder/broker community

CommonFloor, a Quikr company, a leading online ecosystem for home buyers, sellers and real estate professionals along with Karnataka RERA Authority is launching the RERA Education workshop series “RERA for you”. The event aims to reach out, inform and educate developers and brokers on the recently passed Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA).

The first in the series of interactive sessions will be held in Bengaluru on September 11, 2017, with the developer community. During the event, industry experts like lawyers, financial advisors, and marketing heads will conduct the sessions discussing the impact and effects of RERA on the real estate sector and construction industry.

Talking about these educative sessions, Mr. Kapil Mohan, Principal Secretary Housing Department, Govt of Karnataka said, “Implementation of RERA will put the entire real estate industry on a more balanced and transparent platform which currently faces adverse criticism due to its unorganized nature. This will increase the buyer confidence in the projects hence the overall transaction volumes. We see a very bright future for all the real estate actors and the industry as far as the state of Karnataka is concerned post full operationalization of RERA.  We believe these educational workshops are a great way to educate the ecosystem members and close any knowledge gaps necessary for its implementation”

The event will be attended by 150+ leading builders from in and around Bangalore. The session will address varied topics including RERA and its business impact, understanding the policy and law plus growing business post-RERA and be financially strong. Real Estate industry experts including Mr. Kapil Mohan himself along with Dr. Venkatesh Panchapagesan, Associate Professor IIMB and Chairperson Real Estate Research Initiative and Mr. Karthik, Partner in Real Estate, Indus Law will be addressing the builder community.
